Kyle Manno Copenace

MICEC Online is a series of virtual educational presentations and discussions on themes of traditional parenting, food, medicine, crafting, language, storytelling, reconciliation and more.

The Manitoba Indigenous Cultural Education Centre is a not-for-profit charitable organization, and a member of the First Nations Confederacy of Cultural Education Centres. MICEC supports Indigenous language knowledge, traditional and contemporary cultural skills, and cross-cultural awareness.

Kyle is an Ojibwe of Whitefish Bay first Nation in Treaty 3. Raised by parents, Eldon and Pat Copenace. Growing up was either on the road travelling to powwows, on the lake fishing and or in the bush hunting. Resides in Winnipeg with wife Christy and two daughters Emmy and Paizlee. Works for Sagkeeng Prevention Service working directly with youth and families that are looking to reconnect with their traditional ways whether it be ceremony or on the land learning.
